bids may be submitted by a written request signed in the same manner and by the <br />same person who signed the Proposal. No bid may be withdrawn, modified, or <br />otherwise changed once the bids have been opened. It will be assumed that each <br />Bidder has thoroughly and completely familiarized themselves with these <br />specifications at the time of the bid. Modifications to a bid, once submitted will not be <br />permitted. Simply stated, if any item, feature, options, etc. Is not stated in writing in <br />the Bidder's proposal, it will not be considered. Bidders are cautioned that verbal or <br />written modifications to already opened bids will not be valid, nor considered ethical <br />and the comparison and selection of bid award will proceed only from what is stated <br />in Bidder's written proposal. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />1.12 AUTHORITY TO PURCHASE FROM EXISTING CONTRACTS <br /> <br />All bidders submitting a response to this Invitation to Bid or Request for Proposal <br />agree that such response also constitutes a bid to all governmental agencies under <br />the same conditions, for the same contract price, and for the same effective period <br />as this bid, should the bidder feel it is in their best interest to do so. <br /> <br />Each governmental agency desiring to accept these bids and make an award thereof <br />shall do so independently of any other governmental agency. Each agency shall be <br />responsible for its own purchases and each shall be liable only for materials and / or <br />services ordered and received by it, and no agency assumes any liability by virtue of <br />this bid. This agreement in no way restricts or interferes with the right of any <br />governmental agency to bid any or all items. <br /> <br />Bids will be made available to other municipal and governmental agencies within the <br />United States of America. Unit purchases after a period of one year will be adjusted <br />to reflect to the established Producers Price Index (PPI), U.S. Labor Dept., Bureau of <br />Statistics, Series PCU3713 # 2A, Emergency Vehicles. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br /> <br />1.13 ENGINEERING CAPABILITY <br /> <br />To demonstrate your company's abilities and to show understanding of the written <br />bid specifications, each manufacturer must submit with the bid, scale drawings of the <br />vehicle it proposes to supply. Drawings must be "design and construct" drawings <br />that will be used in the manufacture of the vehicle. At a minimum they must show <br />overall dimensions, compartment sizes, lighting package, and major specified <br />options. The drawings should show the front, rear, right side, and the left side of the <br />exterior. They should also include the interior bulkhead, street side, curb side <br />cabinet plans and the interior floor plan layout.
