Test Lab <br />AL ACC Climate Control, Inc. <br />7K AM D STANDARD 002 (REV F) <br />1/2013 Body Door Retention Components Test <br />*** This Standard applies only to Type I and Type III ambulances <br />Tested For: AEV Temperature: 72 'F <br />Date: 1211112013 Humidity: 30% <br />Chassis: N/A <br />Type: I, or Ill <br />VIN: Raw Module - N/A <br />Test Set -Up <br />AM D002 <br />19 of 43 <br />Construct the framework necessary to apply proper load to the door(s), latch(s), and hinge(s). <br />2 Position the force application brackets, load cell and cabling to equally distribute the load and <br />to apply the load as close as possible to the latch or hinge. <br />3 When constructing the test device position it within the body structure so that the opposing <br />force is resisted by the body structure. <br />5.1 <br />5.2 <br />5.3 <br />5A <br />5.5 <br />Procedures & Test Results <br />1 The tests can be performed by the latch and striker manufacturer if provided by a single <br />source and a letter of compliance is supplied to the body builder stating that the assembly as <br />furnished meets FMVSS 206. <br />2 If striker and latch assembly is furnished by two different manufacturers, or if there is a <br />modification to the single source manufacturers, the assembly must be tested by the Body <br />Builder in accordance with SAE J839. <br />Load applied using Hand Pump. <br />All body door retention components have been installed. <br />The ambulance body is structurally complete with the exception of the interior paneling and <br />cabinets. <br />All doors stayed shut while load was applied. <br />There were no failures at the latch, striker(s), hinge or their points of attachment to the door or <br />the body framework. <br />Automotive Climate Control • 22428 Elkhart East Blvd. • P.O.
