Test Lab <br />AL ACC Climate Control, Inc. <br />AM D001 <br />3 of 43 <br />Issue Date: 080904 <br />Revision Date: 111011 <br />AM D STANDARD 001 (REV F) <br />Ambulance Body Structure Static Load Test <br />Tested For: AEV Temperature: 71.5 ° F <br />Date: 1112012013 Humidity: 29.7% <br />Chassis: N/A <br />Type: 1, or 111 <br />VI N: Raw Module - N/A <br />Curb Weight: The complete ambulance; chassis, cab, and body, including all mandatory <br />equipment, full of fuel, lubricants and coolant. <br />(See KKK-A-1822 E sec. 3.5.1) <br />16,000 (lbs.) Curb weight of the vehicle (Can be determined by actual weight or client <br />high estimate based on vehicle history. <br />Record the dimensions of the module being tested. <br />172 Length 95 Width 90 Height <br />Test Set -Up <br />1 04 Be sure the Force Application Plate is raised sufficiently to work under and blocked in place <br />for added safety. <br />2 $114 Allow pump motor to idle for a half hour before applying test load to allow the hydraulic fluid to <br />warm up sufficiently <br />3 $4 Position the ambulance/module under the force application plate. Make sure to center the <br />ambulance/module under the platform and that there is at least 2.5" of overhanging platform <br />at each edge of the roof. <br />.4 an If only a module is supplied use I beams to simulate chassis rails. <br />If a complete ambulance is to be tested be sure to block the chassis to keep the vehicles <br />suspension from adding to the deflection. <br />.6 If testing a side load on a module lay side of module flat on floor. If rain gutter is not <br />removable use appropriately thick sheets of plywood in between floor and side of module to <br />keep from crushing rain gutter. <br />If testing a finished ambulance place a protective sheet (foam carpet pad or similar) between <br />the force application plate and the vehicle surface to prevent scratches or any other <br />preventable damage. <br />8 04 Set dial Indicators to measure vertical and horizontal displacement: <br />One (1) at the center of each side and One (1) centered inside <br />9 be Once ready for test.
