front panel public address volume control and built-in noise canceling microphone <br />are also included. <br /> Y___N___ <br />4.1 SPEAKERS <br /> <br />A CPI #SA4311D speaker shall be securely bolted through the chassis OEM front <br />bumper on the driver's side. <br /> <br />A CPI #SA4311P speaker shall be securely bolted through the chassis OEM front <br />bumper on the passenger's side. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />4.2 AIR HORNS <br /> <br />Two (2) Grover Stutter tone non-adjustable air horns shall be provided and installed <br />on the hood. The air horns shall be powered by the chassis OEM compressor & air <br />reservoir. A check valve shall be installed between the air horns and the air reservoir <br />to prevent depletion of air reservoir. <br /> Y___N___ <br />4.2.1 A foot pedal switch shall be provided on the outboard, vertical surface of the <br />floor on the passenger's side of the cab. It shall activate the air horns. Labeled <br />“AIR HORN” <br /> Y___N___ <br />4.2.2 A lanyard shall be provided in the center of the headliner of the cab. It shall <br />activate the air horns. <br /> Y___N___ <br /> <br />4.3 BACKUP ALARM <br /> <br />A Preco, Model #230 backup alarm (or equal) shall be installed on a 2” x 2” floor tube <br />at the rear of the ambulance. This alarm shall activate whenever the ambulance is <br />put into reverse gear. There shall be a momentary switch in the driver's switch <br />console that will cancel the alarm. The system shall have an automatic reset to <br />activate the alarm the next time the vehicle is placed into reverse. When activated, <br />this alarm shall generate an intermittent warning tone at a minimum of 97 dB as <br />prescribed by KKK-A-1822F. <br /> Y___N___ <br />5.0 EXTERIOR LIGHTING <br /> <br />Exterior lighting shall conform to FMVSS 108 and consist of halogen headlights, ICC <br />clearance lights with chrome brush guards, parking lights, hazard warning lights, <br />license plate lights, tail, stop, and backup lights. Tail and stoplights shall have red, <br />clear, and amber lenses. Electrical wires for the taillights shall be sealed to protect <br />them from the elements of weather. There shall also be two (2) side body rear lights <br />with red lenses that flash with turn signals and steady burn with the DOT lights. <br />There shall be, included with the bid, evidence from the lighting manufacturer that all <br />specified warning lights meet the photometric and chromaticity requirements of the <br />current version of KKK-A-1822 as certified by a third-party testing entity. <br /> Y___N___ <br />5.0.1 Eleven (11) Whelan OS series ICC/DOT lights shall be provided and installed <br />on the upper ambulance module body. Each light shall be LED type with a protective <br />chrome bezel. Two (2) each shall be installed on the side upper body corner <br />extrusion area. Five (5) shall be installed on the rear and (2) shall be installed on the <br />front upper body corner extrusion area. <br /> Y___N___
