<br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT — WEST BANK TRAIL TIMBER
<br />DEBRIS REMOVAL — PROJECT NO 120-041 (PARK BOND TIF)
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Engineering, has submitted the Project Completion
<br />Affidavit on behalf of Ritschard Brothers, Inc., 1204 W. Sample St., South Bend, IN 46619, for
<br />the above referenced project, indicating a final cost of $28,500. Upon a motion made by Ms.
<br />Maradik, seconded by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the Project Completion Affidavit was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS — TWO (2)

<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, requested permission to
<br />advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referenced vehicles. Therefore, upon a motion
<br />made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the above request was
<br />approved.

<br />27-2020 — A RESOLUTION OF THE
<br />INDIANA BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS, EXTENDING SIDEWALK CAFE PERMITS
<br />OPERATING PERIOD TO DECEMBER 31 OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the
<br />following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works:
<br />RESOLUTION NO.27- 2020
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
<br />EXTENDING SIDEWALK CAFE PERMITS OPERATING PERIOD TO
<br />DECEMBER 31 OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR
<br />WHEREAS, Chapter 18, Article 1, Section 18-2 of the South Bend Municipal Code
<br />provides the Board of Public Works with control and supervision of the streets and sidewalks
<br />within the City; and
<br />WHEREAS, Chapter 18, Article 1, Section 18-15 of the South Bend Municipal Code
<br />authorizes the Board to issue permits for use of City sidewalks for outdoor cafes; and
<br />WHEREAS, the current Board permit application limits operation of a sidewalk cafe to
<br />the months of April 1 through October 31 of any given year; and
<br />WHEREAS, the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic has had an adverse
<br />economic impact on the City's food service establishments; and
