For purposes of developing a fee
proposal, an initial level of effort is estimated for making these updates. Model updates and
changes beyond this level of effort may need to be covered in an additional amendment.
Task 102 – Hydrant Flow Testing Plan and Assistance
Engineer will prepare a field testing plan to test hydrant flows at up to 12 locations through the
Owner’s service area. A Draft Field Testing Plan will be submitted to the Owner in PDF format
for review. A teleconference will be held with the Owner and Engineer to review the draft plan
with the Owner’s comments being incorporated into a Final Field Testing Plan deliverable.
Hydrant flow testing will be performed and completed by the Owner as indicated in the Final Field
Testing Plan with one day of onsite support from the Engineer’s senior modeling engineer.
Additional days of onsite support can be provided as a supplemental service.
Deliverables under this task will include a draft and final Field Testing Plan.
Task 103 – Steady State Model Calibration using Hydrant Flow Test Data
Engineer will use the hydrant flow test data to refine the calibration of the updated hydraulic
model. Engineer will create up to 12 steady-state model scenarios, one to simulate each of the
hydrant flow tests performed. Each scenario will be updated to reflect the boundary conditions
observed during the flow tests and the recorded flow will be applied to the appropriate hydrant
