Seconded by Commissioner Andrews. <br />Five in favor, one opposed. <br />Vote: 5 —1. Motion to approve section 1, removal of the siding on the front and rear structures to <br />assess the original wood underneath on COA #2020-0904 passes. <br />COMMISSION DISCUSSION SECTION 2: INSTALLATION OF STORM WINDOWS: <br />Commissioner Gelfinan began discussion on the storm windows and the rear windows. <br />Mr. Herschberger stated that the storms would make both buildings look uniform. <br />Commissioner Downs-Krostenko asked for clarification on the existing windows on the front building, <br />as well as the new replacement windows, and asked for earlier photos of the windows on the rear <br />structure. <br />Specialist Toering stated that there were no additional photos, and that the windows on the front <br />structure appeared to be original. The rear structure has replacement windows. <br />Commissioner Downs-Krostenko asked about the rear windows. <br />Specialist Toering stated that staff would like the rear windows to be replaced with a different <br />replacement window. <br />Commissioner Stalheim stated that new windows may not need storm windows if new windows are <br />installed. <br />Commissioner Downs-Krostenko asked why the application doesn't reference replacing the rear <br />windows. <br />Specialist Toering clarified that the original reason for the application is the retroactive replacement of <br />the rear windows, and that this is indicated in the correspondence. <br />Commissioner Gelfman stated that the project could be broken up into two sections, the front storm <br />windows, and the rear replacement windows. <br />Commissioner Downs-Krostenko asked staff what they would recommend for the openings. <br />Specialist Toering stated that staff does not have a recommended window replacement option, but that <br />they would no[ recouunend llie iMslalled windows, as they are not believed to be the same size <br />and configuration as the previous windows. <br />Commissioner Gelfinan asked for the front building to be resolved first. <br />PUBLIC DISCUSSION SECTION 2: INSTALLATION OF STORM WINDOWS: <br />N/A <br />
