ALCOHOL USAGE RESTRICTIONS <br />Pre-Duty Use: <br />Employees may not perform covered duties within four (4) hours after consuming alcohol. On- <br />call employees, who are not at work but could be called to perform covered functions, are subject <br />to the pre-duty alcohol prohibition (i.e. they would have to decline a call to work if acceptance <br />would result in performing covered duties within the four (4) hours). Once notified to respond to <br />an emergency, the employee must not consume any alcohol. <br />On-Duty Use: <br />Covered employees may not consume alcohol while performing covered functions. This <br />prohibition also applies to covered employees who are at work and immediately available to <br />perform covered functions. <br />Use after an Incident: <br />Covered employees with knowledge of an incident either for a pipeline, highway safety or <br />according to our corporate program for which they performed a covered function at or near the <br />time of the incident, may not use alcohol for eight (8) hours after the incident unless they have <br />been given a post-incident test or Reynolds Construction has determined that their performance <br />could not have contributed to the incident. <br />EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />The employee assistance program for employees, as well as supervisory personnel, is provided to <br />determine whether an employee must be drug tested based on reasonable cause. <br />The education program shall include the display and distribution of: <br /> Informational material, <br /> Community service hot-line telephone numbers for contacting substance abuse <br />professionals, <br /> Reynolds’ policy regarding drug and alcohol abuse. <br />The training program shall include: <br /> The effects and consequences of drug and/or alcohol abuse on your personal health, <br />safety and work environment. <br /> The specific contemporaneous observations, behavioral and performance indicators, <br />including speech, of probable drug and/or alcohol abuse. <br />Supervisors and other employees must be given at least sixty (60) minutes of training as part of <br />this program. <br />WRITTEN SAFTEY PROGRAM Page | 241 <br /> <br />
