SECTION II B ATTACHMENTS II - VI <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND: PREQUALIFICATION APPLICATION <br />ii FORMER BUSINESS NAMES <br />The Reynolds name has long been recognized as an industry leader in water/wastewater infrastructure. The Reynolds’ <br />legacy began in the mid 1930’s under the name John L. Reynolds & Sons. After continued growth, the company first <br />incorporated in Indiana in 1965 as John Reynolds & Sons, Inc., then later as Reynolds, Inc. in 1987. The company <br />merged with Layne Christensen Company in 2005 as two separate operating divisions, Reynolds Inc., and Reynolds <br />Inliner. In 2012, Reynolds, Inc. assumed the name Layne Heavy Civil, Inc. and continued operations as such until April <br />30th, 2017. Our knowledge and capabilities include the previous experience from former operating groups under <br />previous ownership in combination with those of our current company. As such, with over 75 years of experience, we <br />are uniquely qualified to provide the City with an experienced team you can count on for results. Over the last 25 <br />years, operations groups of the company have constructed new or completed modifications to over 150 pump stations, <br />and 230 treatment plants, and installed over 18 million LF of pipeline. The company has grossed between $175M and <br />$450M in annual revenue over the last decade, currently employs approximately 400 people, and owns an equipment <br />fleet valued in excess of $17 million. <br />v PROPERLY CLASSIFIED <br />All individuals who will perform work on the public work project on Reynolds’ behalf will be properly classified as an <br />employee or as an independent contractor under all applicable state and federal laws and local ordinances. <br />vi APPRENTICESHIP <br />All the jobs Reynolds has completed in Indiana and New Jersey utilized employees from the Laborers Carpenters, and <br />Operators Unions. Each of these Unions provide Apprentice Programs and Related Training. <br /> <br />
