McBride, Troy Warner, Lori Hamann <br />Other Council Absent: Henry Davis Jr., Canneth Lee <br />Others Present: Dawn M. Jones, Bob Palmer, Bianca Tirado <br />Presenters: Dan Parker <br />Agenda: Budget Hearing Session # 6: Strategic Initiatives <br />Committee Chair Karen L. White opened the Budget Hearing Session #6: Strategic Initiatives at <br />5:00 p.m. She proceeded to hand the meeting over to Dan Parker. <br />Dan Parker, City Controller with offices on the 12th floor of the County -City Building, South <br />Bend, IN, gave an extensive PowerPoint presentation referencing initiatives funded through the <br />city dollars. <br />Dan Buckenmeyer, Director of Business Development, with offices on the 14th floor of the <br />County -City Building, presented on TIF and the redevelopment funds. <br />Alkena Alridge, Director of Engagement and Economic Empowerment, with offices on the 14th <br />floor of the County -City Building South Bend, IN, presented on the Pokagon Funding Program. <br />Dan Parker states he has presented the entire budget with the exception of the Clerk and Council <br />budgets. <br />Chair White opened the floor for comments and questions from the committee and council. <br />Councilmember Rachel Tomas -Morgan asked how do we prioritize the demolition of the <br />buildings in the budget. Pam Meyer responded that priority usually falls under emergencies first <br />and then location or neighborhood issues. She will look into more information on prioritizing <br />and a possible rubric system.
