August 19, 2020 <br />Mr. Zach Hurst, PE VIA E-MAIL <br />Project Engineer <br />Public Works | Division of Engineering <br />1316 County-City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: Design Services Proposal <br />Roof Restoration and Replacement at the Former Salvation Army Building <br />Dear Zach: <br />We welcome this opportunity to provide you with our design services proposal. <br />It is our understanding that the project includes roof restoration and replacement at the former Salvation <br />Army building, located at 506 and 510 South Main Street. Ļ ŷğǝĻ ƦƩĻƦğƩĻķ ƚǒƩ ķĻƭźŭƓ ƭĻƩǝźĭĻƭ ƦƩƚƦƚƭğƌ <br />ĬğƭĻķ ƚƓ ƷŷĻ ŅƚƌƌƚǞźƓŭ ƭĭƚƦĻʹ <br />Construction Documents (CD): <br />1.Meet with Owner to review project requirements and expectations. <br />2.Document existing roofing conditions. <br />3.Provide roof restoration and replacement recommendations based on existing conditions and <br />Owner requirements. <br />4.Prepare front end documents, product specifications <br />soliciting contractor quotes. It is anticipated that these documents will also be used for <br />construction. <br />Quote Solicitation: <br />1.Assist the Owner in creating a list of invited contractors (three minimum) to provide quotes <br />and distribute documents to said contractors. <br />2.Participate in one site visit for a pre-quote meeting on site with contractors. <br />3.Prepare and issue addenda as required. <br />4.Respond to RFI's as required through the bidding period. <br />5.Evaluate quotes and make recommendation to the Owner. <br />6.Assist with the preparation of the agreement between Owner and selected contractor. <br />Construction Administration (CA): <br />1.Participate in site visits for pre-construction, construction, and close-out (punch list) meetings <br />on site with Contractor. <br />2.Review of contractor submittals. <br />3.Respond to RFI's as needed during construction <br />4.Review and approve Contractor pay applications. <br />929 Lincolnway East, Suite 200 | South Bend, Indiana 46601 | Tel 574.288.2052 | www.alliarch.com <br /> <br />
