CITYOFSOUTHBEND HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />Commissioner Tiffany (NAY): <br />Commissioner Stalheim (AYE): I voted to deny, as I would like to see more In terms of <br />proposed future funding for maintenance as a way for making up for the loss in <br />historic tax credit resources if they are not able to be attained. <br />Commissioner Ponder (AYE): I voted to deny, because it goes against the Standards and <br />Guidelines that were read, stating, that all items shall be preserved, and it goes <br />against that. <br />Commissioner Deegan (AYE): I voted to deny, based upon the fact that it goes against the <br />Standards and Guidelines, and also as it betrays the educational mission and historic <br />value of the location. <br />Commissioner Downs-Krostenko (NAY): <br />Commissioner Gelfman (AYE): I voted to deny, because of the National historic location of <br />this, also the 9.7.1.1, where all items shall be preserved for this particular site, and <br />that moving or demolishing any historic structure that would alter the spatial or the <br />visual relationships in the landscape shall not be allowed. <br />Certificate of Appropriateness #2020.0302 is denied. <br />Pursuant to South Bend Municipal Code Section 21-13-02(e)(5)(B), an applicant may appeal a denial of a <br />Certificate of Appropriateness by the Historic Preservation Commission to the Common Council, which shall <br />make a final determination of the application. <br />The.
