Vehicle Multiplex <br />Warranty <br />Page 5 <br />V-MUX Certified Service Supplier – VCSS <br />At the Dealer and Service Network Level:Weldon offers two levels of certification for the dealer and <br />service network: <br /> VCSS (V-MUX Certified Service Supplier) Level 1. To obtain VCSS 1, dealer/service center <br />must: <br />o Provide Weldon approved V-MUX service training for a minimum of 50% of the <br />individuals responsible for electrical repair and troubleshooting. This training class will <br />consist of a minimum of: <br /> 1.5 hours of V-MUX system overview <br /> 1 hours of Downloader software training <br /> 4 hours of Diagnostics/troubleshooting training with Diagnostics tools <br /> Weldon approved basic computer literacy training/test. At least one VCSS 1 <br />trainee per service center must pass the computer literacy test. <br />Certified VCSS 1 center will have the tools and ability to efficiently service a V-MUX electrical system. <br /> VCSS (V-MUX Certified Service Supplier) Level 2. To obtain VCSS 2, dealer/service center <br />must: <br />o Provide VCSS 1 level training for all of the individuals responsible for electrical repair <br />and troubleshooting within their organization. At least two VCSS 1 trainees per service <br />center must pass the computer literacy test. <br />o Set up with the OEM or Weldon an end-user customer support system. (Manuals, <br />etc…) <br />o Participate in or coordinate a training class for end-users, which must include at least: <br /> V-MUX system overview <br /> V-MUX system documentation review: <br /> Wiring schematics <br /> Complete vehicle electrical input/output documentation <br /> Location of V-MUX hardware on vehicle <br /> Review of all diagnostic messages available from installed system <br /> Review top-level troubleshooting practices <br /> Review complete vehicle functional and system specification <br /> Discuss availability of V-MUX diagnostic software and troubleshooting tools <br />Certified VCSS 2 centers will have VCSS 1 abilities plus robust capability to support and train V-MUX <br />end users to become self-sufficient in basic V-MUX troubleshooting.
