Boom shall have a minimum 1,000 pound lift capacity. <br />The vacuum system pick up assembly shall be 8" heavy duty. <br />A diagram showing both vertical and horizon boom coverage shall <br />be supplied with the bid. <br />A boom tie down shall be supplied to keep the boom in a stationary <br />position while the unit is traveling over the road. <br />The vacuum intake system shall, by design, deposit solids in the <br />debris tank to ensure proper weight distribution between the front <br />and rear axles, for maximum driver control and safety. <br />The wireless controller system shall include two controllers and an <br />in -cab charging system. <br />The boom shall include a `'boom up" safety alarm system that will <br />sound inside the cab if the boom is not properly stowed before <br />transport. <br />The following 8" dia. pipe extensions with clamps will be provided <br />and carried on the truck: <br />(1) 7' Extension tube <br />(1) 6' Extension tube <br />(1) 3' Extension tube <br />(1) 3' Fluidizer tube <br />1 6' Crowned extension tube <br />High Pressure <br />The following is a description of the hydraulically driven high- <br />YES <br />Water Pump: <br />pressure water pump currently use by the City of South Bend. This <br />system has proven very effective and does meet all our requirements. <br />Any bidder wishing to bid an alternatively driven pump may do so <br />with a detailed explanation of that system and the benefits to be <br />received by the City of South Bend from the use of such a system. <br />Such an alternative system may or not be acceptable to the City. <br />Belt type drive will not be acceptable. <br />Water pump shall pump with continuous smooth water pressure and <br />the ability to run dry without damage. An accumulator will be <br />provided, if necessary, for continuous smooth water pressure. <br />The high-pressure water pump will be designed so no damage will <br />occur if run at normal operating speed without water for 10 minutes. <br />A certification by the original water pump manufacturer to operate <br />in such a manner shall be provided. <br />
