1.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> <br />A. Packing and Shipping: Deliver products in original unopened packaging with <br /> <br />B. Storage and Protection <br />1. Protect from damage caused by elements and construction procedures. <br />2. Store at temperature recommended by material manufacturer. <br /> <br />C. Do not retain at the job site material which has exceeded the shelf life <br />recommended by its manufacturer. <br /> <br />1.5 DEFINITIONS <br />A. Substrates: <br />1. <br />a. Metals, porcelain, glazed tile and smooth plastics. <br />2. <br />a. Concrete, concrete masonry units, brick, mortar, natural stone. <br />work. <br />3. <br />a. Wood, unglazed tile and substrates not included under other <br />categories. <br /> <br />1.6 WARRANTY <br /> <br />A. Submit written warranty signed by the Contractor and Installer guaranteeing to <br />correct failures in the sealer installation that occur within 5 years after substantial <br />completion, without reducing or otherwise limiting any other rights to correction <br />which the Owner may have under the Contract Agreement. Failure is defined as <br />the inability to remain weather tight due to faulty materials or workmanship. <br />Correction is limited to the replacement of sealants. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.1 MATERIALS - GENERAL <br /> <br />A. Provide only products which are recommended and approved by their <br />manufacturer for the specific use to which they are to be installed and which <br />comply with all requirements of the Contract Documents. <br />1. For each generic product: Use only the products of one manufacturer. <br />2. Provide and install only materials which are compatible with each other <br />and with the joint substrates on which they are scheduled to be installed. <br />3.
