Gutters
1. Gutters shall match existing historic copper gutters in size and profile.
2. Shop-fabricate work to greatest extent possible. Fabricate for waterproof
and weather-resistant performance, with expansion, provisions for running
work, sufficient to permanently prevent leakage, damage, or deterioration
of the work.
3. Seams: Tin edges to be seamed, form seams and solder. Rivet joints for
additional strength where required.
4. Underlayment: Where installation is to be directly on wood, install a ship
sheet of red rosin paper on a course of asphalt saturated felt.
5. Bed flanges of work in a thick coat of bituminous roofing cement where
required for waterproof performance.
6.

B. Joints:
1. Provide suitable watertight expansion joints for runs of more than 40'-0",
except where closer spacing is indicated on the Drawings or required for
proper installation.
2.
