<br />SECTION 07321 <br /> <br />CLAY ROOFING TILES <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. Repair clay roofing system where indicated on the Drawings, as specified <br />herein, and as needed for a complete and proper installation. <br /> <br />B. Related Sections: <br />1. <br />2. <br /> <br />1.2 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Manufacturer's specifications and other data needed to prove compliance with <br />the specified requirements; <br /> <br />B. One Sample of thoroughly dry mortar proposed to be used, showing the <br />proposed color. <br /> <br />1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />A. Roofing contractor shall have no less than five (5) years of experience on <br />projects of similar size and scope. <br /> <br />B. Use adequate numbers of skilled workmen who are thoroughly trained and <br />experienced in the necessary crafts and who are completely familiar with the <br />specified requirements and the methods needed for proper performance of <br />the work of this Section. <br /> <br />1.4 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> <br />A. Field tile is generally shipped in pallets and fittings in boxes. Upon receipt of <br />shipment, the pallets and boxes should be examined for possible damage in <br />transit and if any, should be noted on the shipping papers and a claim must <br />be filed promptly against the delivering carrier. <br /> <br />B. The pallets and boxes of tile should be placed in a level, safe place away from <br />traffic and construction activity.
