SECTION 04920 <br />MASONRY RESTORATION REPAIR <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. The work required under this Section consists of Masonry Restoration Repair as <br />noted on the drawings and as specified herein. <br /> <br />B. In general, the work consists of: <br />1. Tuckpoint parapet cap stone. <br />2. <br />filled with sealant. <br />3. Patch and repair damaged stone. <br /> <br />1.2 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Submit manufacturer's technical data covering products proposed and method of <br />cleaning for approval prior to start of repair operations. <br /> <br />B. Manufacturer's Specifications and Application Instructions for Sealant: <br />1. Submit manufacturer's technical specifications and application <br />instructions for sealant specified. <br />2. Submit type of sealant material used - for field use. <br /> <br />1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br /> <br />A. Applicator's Qualifications: <br />1. Not less than 5 years in business and experience in masonry restoration <br />work of the type specified herein. <br />2. Submit a list of projects completed in the last 2 years of similar size and <br />complexity. <br /> <br />B. Industry Standards: <br />1. Work specified by reference to the published specifications of a <br />manufacturer or association shall comply with the requirements of the <br />specification listed. <br />a. In case of conflict between the referenced specification and the <br />project specifications, the project specifications shall govern. <br /> <br />1.4 GUARANTEE: <br /> <br />A. All repair and restoration work shall be unconditionally guaranteed for ten (10) <br />years against leakage.
