<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the
<br />above bids were referred to VPA and Engineering for review and recommendation.
<br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS — VPA PARKING LOT SECURITY GATES (PARK BOND
<br />SERIES I)
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed quotations for
<br />the above referenced project. The following quotation was opened and read:

<br />QUOTATION: $17,292.11
<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the
<br />above quotation was referred to VPA and Engineering for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION AND APPROVE CONTRACT — VPA ATHLETIC COURT
<br />RENOVATIONS, PHASE I — PROJECT NO 118-098 (VPA)
<br />Ms. Alicia Czarnecki, Engineering, advised the Board that on June 9, 2020, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms.
<br />Czarnecki recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Walsh & Kelly, Inc., 24358 State Road 23, South Bend, IN, 46614, in an
<br />amount, not to exceed $116,063 for the Base Quote and Alternate Nos. 2A & 3A. Therefore, Ms.
<br />Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the quotation be awarded, and
<br />the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Molnar seconded the motion, which carried by roll
<br />call. Mr. Gilot noted there were three (3) quotes received, and one (1) was incomplete.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION AND APPROVE CONTRACT — TUTT STREET BRICK
<br />RECOVERY — PROJECT NO. 120-045 (DCI OTHER PROFESSIONAL SERVICES)
<br />Ms. Zach Hurst, Engineering, advised the Board that on July 14, 2020, quotations were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Mr. Hurst
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder,
<br />Walsh & Kelly, Inc., 24358 State Road 23, South Bend, IN, 46614, in the amount of $20,995.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, and the quotation
<br />be awarded, and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Molnar seconded the motion,
<br />which carried by roll call. Mr. Gilot suggested the funding source should be confirmed.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 — PINHOOK PARK PAVILION IMPROVEMENTS —
<br />PROJECT NO. 118-077B (PARKS BOND H & J DNR GRANT)
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that Ms. Alicia Czarnecki, Engineering, has submitted Change Order No. 2 on
<br />behalf of Larson -Danielson Construction Co., Inc., 302 Tyler St, LaPorte, IN 46350, indicating
<br />the contract amount be increased in the amount of $7,676 for a new contract sum, including this
<br />Change Order, in the amount of $185,043.23. Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded
<br />by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the Change Order was approved.
