EXECUTIVE SESSION MARCH 26 2008 <br />TEST: <br />L inda M. tierk, <br />Martin, <br />REGULAR MEETING MARCH 26, 2008 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in the regular meeting at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, <br />2008, with President Donald Alford and Board Members Juanita Dempsey, Bruce J. BonDurant, <br />D. ttrell, d Jack Reed preset 'it. Also present were Police Chief Darryl Boy ins, Fire <br />1 <br />[1catrick Co an <br />Chief Howard Buchanon and. Board Attornev Thomas Bodnar. <br />The meeting was held in the Board of Public Works Meeting Room, 13th Floor, County-City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />ACCEPT .'N41NUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS <br />Upon a i-notion by Mr. Bon Laura iit, seconded by Mr. Cottrell and carried, the minutes of the <br />13'ublic Agenda Session, Executive Session, and Regular meetings of the Board held on March 5. <br />2008 were approved. <br />01'111116K 3 Z IMP 11= �=110 �' =W i {.� ; 1 e 1 0 Mt 1XIM91- 1 <br />ANNEXATION AREA� <br />Mir. Jeff Vitton, Community and Economic Development, informed the Board that the request <br />for annexation is for just less than five (5) acres near the comer of Portage Avenue ain-d <br />Cleveland Road, surrounded by an area. already annexed by the City of South Bend. He noted <br />that it is not expected that the new aimexation area will increase service calls by either Police or <br />Fire Departments substantially. He stated that the annexation is expected to bring in tai <br />revenues of approximately $215,000.00 in five years that will be greater than the anticipated <br />costs. Upon a motion by Mr. BonDurant,, seconded by Mr. Cottrell and carried, the -following <br />Resolution was approved by the Board of Public Safety: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12-2008 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND,, INDIANAr ADOPTING A WFJTTEN FISCAL PLAN AND ESTABLISHING <br />A POLICY FOR THE PROVISION OF SERVICES TO AN ANNEXATION AREA IN <br />GERMAN TOWNSHIP <br />(CLEVELAND AND LYNNEWOOD ANNEXATION ARE A) <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, an Ordinance and a petition by all (100%) property owners which proposes the <br />
