PUBLIC AGENDA SESSION MARCH 26, 2008 <br />"I'tie Board of Public Safety met in the Public Agenda Session at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March <br />26, 2008 with President Donald Alford present and Board Members Juanita Dempsey, Patrick D. <br />Cottrell, Bruce J. BonDurant, and Jack Reed present. Also present were Board Attorney Thomas <br />Bodnar, Police Chief Darryl Boykins, and Fire Chief Howard Buchanon. <br />"rhe meeting was held in the Board of Public Works Meeting Room, 13th Floor, County City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />.Ar. Bodnar noted the addition of a request for a paid extension of medical leave by Corporal <br />Britton Odle, Police Department, to the agenda. Corporal Britton is recovering from a cesarean <br />section and needs the additional time to heal. Mr. Bodnar stated she is entitled to an unpaid <br />medical leave extension,, but is requesting a paid extension. <br />Board members discussed the following items from the agenda: <br />Z:� <br />Resolution No. 12-2008 - A Resolution of the Board of Public Safety of the City of South <br />.Bend, Indiana, Adopting a Written Fiscal Plan and Establishing A Policy for the Provision of <br />Services to an Armexation Area in German Township (Cleveland and Lynne wood Annexation <br />./krea) <br />Mr. Bodnar noted that the area of annexation is surrounded by City property and should <br />D01% therefore, increase service area demands significantly on Fire or Police Departments. <br />�16102191 1 , <br />'There beinc, no further business to come before the Board, <br />President Alford declared the meeting <br />a d- <br />j ourned at 8.10 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />� . . ....... <br />E.
