REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 25 2012 315 APPROVAL OF PERMITS /LICENSES The following strect closures and processions were presented for approval• Applicant Description Date /Time Location Motion Carried South Bend Procession — 24t Annual October 26, On Route as Roos /Mecham Heritage Red Ribbon March and 2012; 9:30 Submitted Foundation Rally a.m. to 11:30 a.m. SiteScapes, Encroachment/Revocable Wissco Irrigation, Roos/Mecham Inc. Permit — Landscaping in 1820 South Bend Right -of -Way Avenue TABLE REQUEST FOR STREET NAME CHANGE - 100 BLOCK OF NORTH ADAMS STREET Mr. Henry Davis, on behalf of the Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, submitted a request for a permanent name change for the 100 block of North Adams Street to Greater Saint John MBC Lane. In a letter to the Board, Mr. Davis stated the request is to honor the church's 90,x' year in the community. Ms. Roos requested the Board table this request until the application is full and complete. She noted a letter stating they are in favor of this change from the one existing property owner on this block still needs to be received. Therefore, upon a motion by Ms. Roos, seconded by Mr. Mecham and carried, the request was tabled as outlined above. APPROVE TRAFFIC RESTRICTION Upon a motion made by Ms. Roos, seconded by Mr. Mecharn and carried, the following traffic restriction was approved: APPLICANT: South Bend Parks Department EVENT: Fall Family Fun Fair at Rum Village Park RESTRICTION: No Parking Signs LOCATION: Rum Village Park; South Side of Ewing from Douglas to Gertrude; Both Sides of Gertrude from Ewing to 200' south of the Park Entrance; East Side of Walnut from Ewing to 2115 Walnut; Add Handicapped Parking to the Park DATE /TIME: October 6, 2012; 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. REMARKS: All criteria has been met APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE Upon a motion made by Mr. Mecham, seconded by Ms. Roos and carried, the following traffic control device was approved: NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking — East and West Sides of Street LOCATION: 200 Block of North William Street REMARKS: All criteria has been met TABLE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE Upon a motion made by Ms. Roos, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following traffic control device request was tabled: NEW INSTALLATION: No Parking Notre Dame Home Games 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.rn. LOCATION: Quigley PIace from Georgiana Street to Duey Avenue; Burns Street from Quigley Place to Napoleon Street; Duey Street from South Bend Avenue to Napoleon Street; Georgia Street from Quigley Place to Napoleon; St. Vincent Street from Georgiana Street to Eddy Street Ms. Roos stated that No Parking signs are already posted on one side of all of these streets for all hours of the day. She noted that one street is in need of both sides to be posted and the request should be tabled subject to providing new descriptions of the area and determining which street requires additional signage.
