Upon a motion by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the Commission approved Resolution No. 1818 determining its intent to pay certain expenses incurred for local public improvements in or serving the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. IA) from the South Bend Central Allocation Area (South Bend Allocation Area No. IA) Special Fund. i. Commission approval requested for professional services in the Sample -Ewing Development Area. (Franklin and Sample St. lot) Mr. Laurent explained that this is for site clearance at the Southeast corner of Sample and Franklin St. He noted that the clearance includes the removal of the fence surrounding the property, removal of the shrubbery and growth, and removal of all refuse and debris. The staff received two proposals for the project. The first proposal is from B & J Excavation Company, Inc. in the amount of $4,999.00. The second proposal is from Bradberry Brothers Excavating Company in the amount of $5,090.00. Staff recommends the proposal from B & J Excavation Company, Inc. Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the proposal from B & J Excavation Company, Inc. for the site clearance in the Sample -Ewing Development Area.
