Sec. 17-47 Non-Recurring Charges. <br /> (a) Deposits : <br /> Security deposits, payable upon service initiation and <br /> refundable upon service termination, shall be no more than <br /> one-sixth (1/6) of the estimated annual bill for each meter <br /> size. Governmental entities shall be exempt from deposits . <br /> (b) Tap Charges : <br /> The charge for main taps shall be at the Utility' s cost . <br /> (c) Other Nonrecurring Charges : <br /> Disconnect for nonpayment $ 7 .50 <br /> Reconnection 5 . 00 <br /> Bad Checks 7 .50 <br /> Frozen Meter 15 . 00 <br /> Service Initiation 12 . 00 <br /> Section VII. Chapter 17, Article 4, Section 17-48 of the South Bend <br /> Municipal Code shall read in its entirety as follows : <br /> Sec. 17-48 Authorization and Two Year Rate Review. <br /> (a) This tariff has been authorized by City of South Bend Common <br /> Council Ordinance # 8357-93 and by the Indiana <br /> Utility Regulatory Commission pursuant to Cause # <br /> 39554 approved. <br /> (b) The Common Council shall review at least every two (2) years <br /> from the effective date of this ordinance, all rates and <br /> charges of the Water Works . The Water Utility Director <br /> shall file all pertinent data needed by the Common Council, <br /> on or before June 1st of the year in which the notes and <br /> charges shall be reviewed. <br /> Section VIII. All ordinances in conflict with the provision of this <br /> Ordinance are repealed upon this Ordinance becoming effective as set <br /> forth in Section IX herein. <br /> Section IX.
