There was no objection and <br />the item was tabled to the September 1, 2000 <br />meeting. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Public Hearing on Resolution No. 1758 <br />amending the South Bend Central <br />Development Area Development Plan. <br />Ms. Greene stated that Resolution No. 1758 <br />amends the South Bend Central Development <br />Area Development Plan setting forth a list of <br />properties to be acquired. She noted that the list <br />of properties is as follows: property at 424 S. <br />Michigan, which is a vacant lot, a parking lot that <br />is located between Western and Main St. and is <br />owned by Mary Coyne, property located at 316 <br />South St. Joseph, and 320 South St. Joseph. The <br />resolution also lists property at 710 N. Niles <br />Ave., however, that property will not be included <br />because the property owners did not receive <br />notice about the public hearing. <br />Mr. Hunt opened the public hearing for anyone <br />who wished to speak regarding Amended <br />Resolution 1758. <br />Mr. Akin asked about the property at 424 S. <br />Michigan. Ms. Greene replied that the property <br />was owned U.S.A. Washington D.C. and noted <br />that the property is a grassy area. <br />There being no other people who wished to <br />speak, Mr. Hunt closed the public hearing for <br />whatever action the Commission wished to take. <br />-4- <br />
