South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting - May 19, 2000
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
a. continued...
Andrew Riffel was present and addressed
the Commission. My name is Andrew
Riffel. I own the property in question.
The only problem I have with this is that
previous to this, you purchased apiece of
that property from me. All that has been done to date
is to get your authorization to be on the
property.
Mr. Riffel stated that I will supposedly be
given $42.00 for a corner of this piece of
property. I think that is very unjust. I'm
scared to death to think what is going to
happen when you purchase the entire
property from me.
Mrs. Kolata stated that later on the
agenda, Redevelopment will hire
appraisers to go out to appraise the
property. Mr. Riffel will be notified
when that appraisal process is going to
take place. He will have an opportunity
to accompany those appraisers. Once Mr.
Riffel receives an offer from
-4-
