South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - April 7, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />1. continued.... <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that Grauvogel & <br />Associates submitted a proposal in the <br />amount of $560.00 for an asbestos <br />survey and environmental review of the <br />HTI Building at 529 Crescent Avenue. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded <br />by Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission accepted the proposal <br />from Grauvogel & Associates in the <br />amount of $560.00 for professional <br />services in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mrs. Kolata reported that the bids for the <br />demolition Standard Surplus building were <br />received Monday, April 3, 2000. <br />Demolition of Standard Surplus is scheduled <br />to begin on May 15, with asbestos removal <br />in the Standard Surplus building and <br />demolition of the Salt Dome which is <br />located on City property. All demolition is <br />to be complete by October 1, 2000. <br />She also reported that the bids were received <br />for the construction of the two roads related <br />to the Deluxe Sheet Metal project. <br />Mrs. Kolata reported that Cort Furniture <br />located in the Leighton Plaza retail space has <br />opened for business. <br />-15- <br />COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />GRAUVOGEL & ASSOCIATES IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$560.00 FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE <br />SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />
