South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - March 3, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />e. Commission approval requested <br />for Resolution No. 1744 related <br />to acquisition of property in the <br />Sample -Ewing Development <br />Area by Eminent Domain. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that Resolution <br />No. 1744 authorizes a purchase <br />offer to be sent to the property <br />owner of the parcel on the north <br />side of west Sample Street just <br />west of the Standard Surplus <br />building. She also stated that this <br />is one of the properties which <br />were just added to the acquisition <br />list in item 6.b. <br />Mrs. Kolata also stated that if the <br />City and the property owner <br />cannot reach an agreement on the <br />purchase offer, Resolution No. <br />1744 authorizes the use of <br />Eminent Domain. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, <br />seconded by Mr. Kahn and <br />unanimously carried, the <br />Commission adopted Resolution <br />No. 1744 related to acquisition of <br />property in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area by Eminent <br />Domain. <br />COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION <br />NO. 1744 RELATED TO ACQUISITION <br />OF PROPERTY IN THE SAMPLE -EWING <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA BY EMINENT <br />DOMAIN <br />-8- <br />
