South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting - February 4, 2000 6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) b. Commission approval requested for Resolution No. 1735 appropriating monies for the purpose of defraying expenses of certain local public improvements for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2000, and ending December 31, 2000, including all outstanding claims and obligations, fixing a time when the same shall take effect. Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded by Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the Commission adopted Resolution No. 1735 appropriating monies for the purpose of defraying expenses of certain local public improvements for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2000, and ending December 31, 2000, including all outstanding claims and obligations, fixing a time when the same shall take effect c. Commission approval requested for Resolution No. 1738 relating to acquisition of property within the South Bend Central Development Area by Eminent Domain. Mrs. Kolata stated that Resolution No. 1738 authorizes two purchase offers to be sent relative to the properties at 215 S. Main St. and 210 W. Monroe St. One of the properties is a vacant lot and the other is the Bell Parts property. If an agreement cannot be reached between the City of South Bend and the property owners within a 30 -day period, Resolution No. 1738 authorizes the purchase of the property through Eminent Domain. COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 1735 APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING EXPENSES OF CERTAIN LOCAL PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2000, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2000, INCLUDING ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS, FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT -4-
