South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - February 4, 2000 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />m. Commission approval requested <br />for Amendment to Contract for <br />Purchase and Sale of property in <br />the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the <br />Amendment is related to the parking <br />lot just south of Hardee's. The <br />Redevelopment Commission has an <br />Agreement with 1 S` Source <br />Corporation in terms of the price of <br />the property. The Agreement was <br />contingent on the City of South Bend <br />purchasing all of the other property <br />at the Main and Jefferson site and <br />working with 1 s` Source Corporation <br />on replacing the parking. The City <br />of South Bend's deadline is the end <br />of February of this year. The <br />Amendment extends the deadline to <br />November 1, 2001. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and <br />unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the <br />Amendment to the Contract for <br />Purchase and Sale of property in the <br />South Bend Central Development <br />Area. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the <br />Children's Museum in Leighton <br />Memorial Healthplex is scheduled to <br />open on Saturday, February 12, 2000. <br />She also stated that CDM intend to vacate <br />the space in the Leighton Plaza retail <br />space at the end of February 2000. <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE <br />AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT FOR <br />PURCHASE AND SALE OF PROPERTY IN <br />THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />-15- <br />
