NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />g. continued.... <br />The City of South Bend will build <br />out the space and provide allowances <br />for the tenant to make some <br />improvements. Ms. Jones stated <br />that there is a typographic error on <br />page 2 of the Lease. She stated that <br />the Lease lists the annual rent at <br />$145,353 and it should be $14,535. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that correction <br />will be made. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, <br />seconded by Mr. Donoho and <br />unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Lease <br />with Cort Furniture Rental <br />Corporation for Retail Space No. 5 <br />in the Leighton Plaza Retail Space in <br />the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. <br />h. Commission approval requested <br />for proposal for professional <br />services in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. (Replat: <br />Design of Road) <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that a parcel of <br />land adjacent to the U.S. 31 <br />Industrial Park is being developed. <br />The road in the U.S. 31 Industrial <br />Park will need to be extended into <br />this property. The Developer of the <br />property is willing to share in the <br />cost of constructing the road. <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE LEASE WITH <br />CORT FURNITURE RENTAL CORPORATION <br />FOR RETAIL SPACE NO. 5 IN THE <br />LEIGHTON PLAZA RETAIL SPACE IN THE <br />SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT <br />AREA <br />-11- <br />
