NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />f. continued... <br />The properties were purchased and <br />demolished at the request of the School <br />Corporation in order to provide a an <br />attractive entrance into the new Riley High <br />School. <br />In the Agreement, the School Corporation <br />agrees to properly landscape these areas <br />and will come to Redevelopment for <br />approval of the landscape plan. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Donoho, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Agreement <br />Between the Department of <br />Redevelopment and the South Bend <br />Community School Corporation <br />Concerning Real Estate Proximate to the <br />Intersection of Fellow and Calvert Streets. <br />g. Notification by Design Packaging to <br />Vacate the property at 600 N. Niles <br />Avenue. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that when the Division <br />of Redevelopment purchased the Design <br />Packaging building on Niles Avenue, <br />Design Packaging moved to another <br />location. Design Packaging kept some of <br />their supplies in the Niles Avenue building <br />and has never totally vacated the building. <br />In exchange for not paying rent to the <br />City, Design Packaging has maintained the <br />property and lawn. <br />-12- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />REDEVELOPMENT AND THE SOUTH BEND <br />COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION <br />CONCERNING REAL ESTATE PROXIMATE TO THE <br />INTERSECTION OF FELLOW AND CALVERT <br />STREETS <br />
