South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - March 19, 1999 <br />3. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (CONT.) <br />Ms. Schwartz mentioned that she had a conflict of <br />interest on four Claims for CB Richard <br />Ellis /Sturges Bradley and asked that they be <br />deleted from the Claims list. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded by Mr. <br />Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Claims submitted <br />March 19, 1999, excluding the four Claims for <br />CB Richard Ellis /Sturges Bradley, and ordered the <br />checks to be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval requested for <br />Parking Management Agreement <br />between the City of South Bend and <br />Ampco System Parking in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the Parking <br />Management Agreement was presented at <br />the March 5, 1999, Commission meeting. <br />This item was tabled at that time because <br />there was a concern about the self <br />insurance provision, and Ampco's <br />financial ability to handle a claim, should <br />one occur, through self insurance. Mrs. <br />Kolata stated that Brian Steinke, <br />Redevelopment's Attorney, reviewed the <br />Agreement and discussed it with Bob <br />Rosenfeld and they felt that the self - <br />insurance provision of the Agreement was <br />suitable. <br />HAW PDATATOMMSM031999.
