NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />1. continued... <br />Design Guidelines for the Airport <br />Economic Development Area limits the <br />height of all signs to 10 ft. <br />Height of the Variance —The <br />Redevelopment staff supports the height <br />variance with the following conditions: (1) <br />Welsh, Inc. will conduct a balloon or crane <br />test to identify the exact height required <br />for the sign. The Redevelopment staff will <br />be present at the test and will drive the <br />surrounding area to check the views from <br />the corporate park and other areas. The <br />staff will then recommend a maximum <br />height for the sign; (2) If the sign <br />interferes with or obstructs the views from <br />the Blackthorn Corporate Park or the <br />Blackthorn Golf Course in any way it will <br />not be approved by the Design Committee; <br />(3) There will only be one high -rise sign <br />pole in the U.S. 31 Industrial Park and this <br />pole will support one sign for each <br />commercial development in the U.S. 31 <br />Industrial Park; (4) The sign pole will have <br />space available to support signage from <br />the commercial uses that may locate on <br />Lots 1, 4, 5 and 6 as platted on the U.S. 31 <br />Industrial Park Section One and Lot 2A as <br />platted on U.S. 31 Industrial Park Section <br />One First Replat or any other Lots <br />identified for a commercial use in the U.S <br />31 Industrial Park; (5) There will only be <br />one high -rise signed allowed in the U.S. <br />31 Industrial Park.
