South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - February 5, 1999 <br />She also stated that the boilers in the Morris <br />Civic Performing Arts Center have been taken <br />out of the basement, the steel is supposed to <br />arrive this week, the lead paint abatement is <br />being conducted, half of the stage floor has <br />been poured and all of the doors are being <br />taken out, stripped and refurbished. <br />Michele Bush, Economic Development <br />Specialist, reported that a Lincolnway West <br />Corridor meeting took place on Thursday, <br />January 28, 1999, at Epworth Church on <br />Lincolnway West. Approximately fifty people <br />were in attendance, including business <br />owners, property owners and residents along <br />the Corridor. Terry Jenkins and Bridget Lane <br />reviewed information from previous meetings <br />and established a Strategy Plan for the <br />Lincolnway West Corridor. The Strategy Plan <br />included focusing on safety and crime, <br />recruitment and retention of businesses along <br />the Corridor, marketing and promoting the <br />Corridor events and properties and <br />implementing and financing Corridor projects. <br />She also stated that Mike Hoffman of Teska <br />Associates also attended the meeting. Mr. <br />Hoffman presented land -use recommendations <br />for Lincolnway West. <br />Mrs. Bush also stated that Mr. Jenkins <br />introduced an Operations Plan for the <br />Lincolnway West Corridor.
