OLD BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued.... <br />Ms. Thompson stated that the owner plans <br />to continue living in the house even after <br />he retires from his place of employment, <br />and there is no mortgage on the house. <br />Pictures of the house were presented to the <br />Commission for its consideration. <br />Ms. Schwartz asked Ms. Thompson about <br />the extensiveness of the damages done to <br />the house by the active termites, which <br />was Ms. Schwartz's concern at the last <br />meeting. <br />Ms. Thompson stated that the termites <br />caused a lot of floor joist damage, and the <br />damaged floor joists would be replaced. <br />The floor joists will need extensive <br />treatment, and the company hired to do the <br />work will treat the floor joists <br />approximately nine to 10 times. <br />Ms. Schwartz stated that she drove by the <br />property at 617 S. Columbia, and she felt <br />that the house is an integral part to the <br />neighborhood. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the Loan and <br />Grant in connection with the Affordable <br />Loan Program for property at 617 S. <br />Columbia.
