Z, <br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - July 2, 1998 <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Kolata asked permission to add items <br />6.o., 6.p. and 6.q. to the agenda. There were <br />no objections and items 6.o., 6.p. and 6.q. <br />were added to the agenda. <br />a. Receipt and opening of bids for <br />parking garage retail space in the 100 <br />Block of South Michigan Street. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that one bid was <br />received as of 10:00 a.m., this morning. <br />Mrs. Kolata opened the bid and stated <br />that it was from Riswell, Inc. Quimos <br />Classic Subs is the name of the business <br />that would be located in the retail space. <br />The potential developer is offering $10.50 <br />per sf, which is the minimum lease price. <br />She also stated that Riswell, Inc. requests <br />to rent the southern, first floor retail space <br />located at the northwest corner of <br />Michigan and Jefferson Streets. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that Riswell, Inc. has <br />submitted the required 10 percent <br />performance guarantee, a food menu and <br />pictures of the Quimos Classic Subs <br />restaurant in Mishawaka. <br />Mrs. Kolata recommended directing the <br />staff to review the proposal and bringing <br />it back before the Commission for its <br />consideration at the next meeting. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that the developer's <br />commencement date of lease would be 45 <br />H:\WPDATA\COMMSN\070298.MfN <br />-3- <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />ITEMS 6.0.,6.P.
