South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - June 5, 1998 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />e. continued.... <br />Mr. Beitzinger also stated that the <br />Commission would have to authorize <br />the Director to sign the petition. <br />The following staff report was <br />presented to the Commission regarding <br />the proposed tax abatement. <br />Crescent Michiana Properties, LLC <br />proposes to construct a 60,000 sf <br />building to be used for back office and <br />support services at the Northwest corner <br />of Nimtz Parkway and Crescent Circle <br />in the Blackthorn Corporate Park. The <br />building will be steel frame with <br />exposed aggregate limestone precast <br />concrete panels and will feature blue <br />tinted glass with clear anodized <br />aluminum frames. All materials and <br />landscaping will be in accordance with <br />Blackthorn Corporate Park covenants <br />and development requirements. The <br />total estimated cost of the new building <br />is $2.8 million. The Associates AIS <br />Output Management Services Operation <br />will be the tenant of the building. Their <br />operation consists of computer data <br />processing, and this facility will <br />primarily engage in processing all of <br />Associates' in -house reports as well as <br />the printing, sorting and mailing of over <br />nine million credit card statements per <br />month. <br />-5- <br />
