THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />Mrs. Kolata asked permission to take the <br />agenda out of order and move item 6.e. to <br />the front of New Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />e. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1609 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located in the <br />Airport Economic Development <br />Area. (South Bend Redevelopment <br />Department for the benefit of <br />Crescent Michiana Properties, LLC) <br />Ms. Schwartz abstained from the <br />discussion and vote of this item due to a <br />conflict of interest with regard to the <br />alternate user. <br />Mike Beitzinger stated that the project <br />does not meet the requirements of the <br />tax abatement ordinance; however, <br />Crescent Michiana Properties, LLC is <br />seeking consideration for a ten -year tax <br />abatement under the provision that does <br />allow consideration for projects that <br />don't meet the requirements of the <br />ordinance. <br />-4- <br />
