South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - June 5, 1998 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1605 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located in the <br />Airport Economic Development <br />Area. (REW, LLC (d.b.a. Corporate <br />Services, Inc.) <br />Nancy Van Scoyk stated that after she <br />had submitted the staff report for the <br />Commission's review and <br />consideration, she received a fax from <br />M/W, LLC (d.b.a. Corporate Services, <br />Inc.) stating that its name had been <br />changed to REW, LLC (d.b.a. <br />Corporate Services, Inc.). She also <br />stated that a copy of this amendment <br />was presented to the Commission for its <br />review. <br />The following staff report was <br />presented to the Commission regarding <br />the proposed tax abatement. <br />REW, LLC (d.b.a. Corporate Services, <br />Inc.) is in the business of creating and <br />printing mailing lists and labels; laser <br />printing of letters, certificates and <br />surveys; custom packaging and <br />assembly; warehousing and <br />distribution. Their project calls for the <br />construction of a 52,500 sf building to <br />expand the business. The new building <br />will allow the company to continue to <br />grow in both sales and employee base. <br />The efficiencies gained by the new <br />building will enable the company to <br />become more competitive in a highly <br />-11- <br />
