NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />b. continued... <br />Ms. Van Scoyk introduced Jim Elgin of <br />Uniroyal Techology Corporation. Mr. <br />Elgin introduced Bill Faust, Engineering <br />Manager of Uniroyal Technology <br />Corporation and Joe Miller, Controller of <br />Uniroyal Technology Corporation. Mr. <br />Elgin stated that in February 1997, <br />Uniroyal Technology Corporation moved <br />into a 240,000 sf facility on West <br />Washington Street. <br />Uniroyal Technology Corporation also <br />bought a company out of Chicago and <br />used its technology to make adhesives in <br />Uniroyal Technology's plant. The <br />purchase of the company resulted in the <br />creation of three jobs. Uniroyal <br />Technology Corporation also resuscitated <br />a business which produced silapreme <br />products. Uniroyal Technology <br />Corporation anticipates that things will go <br />well with the resuscitated business. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Blake, seconded by <br />Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission adopted Resolution No. 1597 <br />approving an application for personal <br />property tax deduction for property located <br />in the West Washington- Chapin <br />Development Area.
