NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued.... <br />which is two and a half acres of land <br />located in the US 31 Industrial Park in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />The proposed purchase price is $100,000. <br />Also included in the bid was a 10 percent <br />performance guarantee and a letter from <br />Mr. Bamber. Mr. Bamber is proposing to <br />construct a minimum 15,000 sf warehouse. <br />The building and site will be designed to <br />allow for an expansion up to 40,000 sf if <br />the need arises. The building and site <br />preparation will be in accordance with the <br />appropriate design guidelines. The <br />warehouse will be used to store excess <br />inventory for the Woodwind and <br />Brasswind that is currently under <br />construction on Technology Drive. Mr. <br />Bamber also proposes to construct a <br />highly visible sign for customers <br />approaching the Woodwind and <br />Brasswind. It is anticipated that <br />construction of the project will begin one <br />year after purchase of the property and <br />completion of the project in two years <br />after purchase of the property. <br />The staff recommended that the <br />Commission refer item 6.a. to the staff for <br />further review and take action at a later <br />date. <br />There were no objections and the proposal <br />for purchase of property in the US 31 <br />Industrial Park was referred to the staff for <br />review. The staff was directed to bring <br />this item back at a later date before the <br />G <br />ITEM 6.A. WAS REFERRED TO THE STAFF <br />
