Based on this commitment, <br />the staff is recommending that this <br />property be deleted from this Resolution. <br />The purpose for acquiring the property in <br />the southeast neighborhood is to make the <br />land available for new, single - family <br />housing construction that would be <br />homeowner occupied. The property <br />located in the Studebaker Corridor being <br />added to the acquisition list is part of a <br />block that is needed to assemble a larger <br />piece of property. The east portion of the <br />block located in the Studebaker Corridor is <br />currently owned by the Department of <br />Redevelopment. The piece of property in <br />the portion of the block located in the <br />Studebaker Corridor currently owned by <br />Hamilton Towing is also being acquired in <br />order to assemble this larger piece of <br />property. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that one written <br />communication in support of the plan <br />amendment was received.
