South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - February 20, 1998 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />f. continued.... <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded <br />by Ms. Auburn and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission adopted Resolution <br />No. 1581 related to acquisition of property <br />within the South Bend Central <br />Development Area by Eminent Domain. <br />g. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1582 approving a <br />Modification to the Lease for Morris <br />Performing Arts Center Project and <br />approving the Execution of an <br />Addendum to the Lease. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that on Wednesday, <br />February 18, 1998, the bond issue for the <br />Morris Performing Arts Center was sold. <br />The net interest cost to the City is <br />4.951635 percent. City Securities was the <br />successful buyer out of the three bids that <br />were received. <br />Mrs. Kolata thanked all of the people at <br />the Morris Performing Arts Center who <br />worked on the fund drive. She also <br />thanked Cathy Roemer —City Controller, <br />Jennifer Wilson and Michael Claytor at <br />Municipal Consultants in Indianapolis and <br />Randy Rompola and Rich Hill at Baker <br />and Daniels. <br />The Morris Performing Arts Center bond <br />issue closing is scheduled for March 4, <br />1998. <br />-21- <br />COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 1581 <br />RELATED TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY WITHIN <br />THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />BY EMINENT DOMAIN <br />
