DIAGNOSTIC PANEL <br />A diagnostic panel shall be accessible while standing on the ground and located inside the <br />driver's side door left of the steering column. The diagnostic panel shall allow diagnostic <br />tools such as computers to connect to various vehicle systems for improved troubleshooting <br />providing a lower cost of ownership. Diagnostic switches shall allow engine and ABS <br />systems to provide blink codes should a problem exist. The diagnostic panel shall include th <br />following: <br />Engine diagnostic port <br />Transmission diagnostic port <br />ABS diagnostic port <br />SRS diagnostic port (where applicable) <br />Command Zone USB diagnostic port <br />Engine diagnostic switch (blink codes flashed on check engine telltale indicator) <br />ABS diagnostic switch (blink codes flashed on ABS telltale indicator) <br />Diesel particulate filter regeneration switch (where applicable) <br />Diesel particulate filter regeneration inhibit switch (where applicable) <br />AIR RESTRICTION INDICATOR <br />A high air restriction warning indicator light LCD message with amber warning indicator <br />and audible alarm shall be provided. <br />WIPER CONTROL <br />The wiper control shall include high and low wiper speed settings, a one (I) -speed R)I;o <br />intermittent wiper control and windshield washer switch. The control shall have a "return to <br />park" provision, which allows the wipers to return to the stored position when the wipers are <br />not in use. <br />SPARE CIRCUIT <br />There shall be four (4) pairof wires, including a positive and a negative, installed on the <br />apparatus. <br />The above wires shall have the following features: <br />The positive wire shall be connected directly to the battery power. <br />The negative wire shall be connected to ground <br />Wires shall be protected to 15 amps at 12 volts DC. <br />Power and ground shall terminate two in ems cabinet and two between driver and <br />officer center dash area. <br />Termination shall be with 15-amp, power point plug with rubber cover. <br />Wires shall be sized to 125% of the protection. <br />This circuits) may be load managed when the parking brake is set. <br />VEHICLE DATA RECORDER <br />A vehicle data recorder (VDR) shall be provided The VDR shall be capable of reading and <br />37 <br />
