outlets, one plenum directed to the front and one plenum directed to the rear of the cab. <br />The evaporator unit shall have a BTU rating that meets and exceeds the performance <br />specifications. Adjustable air outlets shall be strategically located on the evaporator coi <br />the following: <br />Two (2) shall be directed towards the driver's location <br />Two (2) shall be directed towards the officer's location <br />Six (6) shall be directed towards crew cab area <br />The air conditionerrefrigerant shall be R-134A and shall be installed by a certified <br />technician. <br />The air conditioner shall be controlled by a single integral electronic control panel for the <br />heater, defroster and air conditioner. For ease of operation, the control panel shall include <br />variable adjustment for temperature and fan control and be conveniently located on the dash <br />in clear view of the driver. The control panel shall include highly visible, progressive LED <br />indicators for both fan speed and temperature. For added convenience, an optional dual <br />control for the passengerposition shall also be available. <br />INTERIOR CAB INSULATION <br />The cab walls, ceiling and engine tunnel shall be insulated in all strategic locations to <br />maximize acoustic absorption and thermal insulation. Vendor to state R values and material <br />to be used. Headliners shall be constructed from a 0.20" high density polyethylene <br />corrugated material. Each headliner shall be wrapped with a 0.25" thick foil faced poly dan4 <br />low emissivity foam insulation barrier for acoustic and thermal control. For ease of <br />installation and removal, all headliners shall be held in place by a dual lock fastening system <br />WINDOW DEFROST FANS <br />A window defrost fan shall be installed on the driver side ceiling of the cab above the engine <br />tunnel, mounted to the reinforced overhead panel. The fan shall be 6.50" diameter with four <br />(4) blades and chrome guard. The fan shall include a two (2) speed motor and a three (3) <br />position Hi -Off -Low toggle switch. The fan shall provide 250 CFM air flow. <br />WINDOW DEFROST FANS <br />A window defrost fan shall be installed on the passenger side ceiling of the cab above the <br />engine tunnel, mounted to the reinforced overhead Roto Molded panel. The fan shall be <br />6.50" diameter with four (4) blades and chrome guard. The fan shall include a two (2) speed <br />motor and a three (3) position Hi-Off-Lo toggle switch. The fan shall provide 250 CFM air <br />flow. <br />GRAB HANDLE <br />A grab handle shall be mounted on the driver side cab to assist in entering the cab. The grab <br />handle shall be securely mounted to the post area between the door and windshield. <br />A long rubber grab handle shall be mounted on the dashboard in front of the officer. <br />ENGINE COMPARTMENT LIGHT <br />An engine compartment light shall be installed under the engine hood, of which the switch is <br />an integral part. Light shall have a. 125" diameter weep hole in its lens to prevent moisture <br />retention and light shall be LED. <br />ACCESS TO ENGINE DIPSTICKS <br />Access to the engine oil and transmission fluid dipsticks without tilting cab. <br />
