Starter: Delco 39MT <br />Fuel Filters: Spin -on style primary filter with water separator and water -in -fuel sensor. <br />Secondary spin -on style filter. <br />Coolant Filter: Spin -on style with shut off valves on the supply and return line. 5-year <br />unlimited mileage warranty. <br />HIGH IDLE <br />A high idle switch shall be provided, inside the cab, on the instrument panel, that shall <br />automatically maintain a preset engine rpm. A switch shall be installed, at the cab instr <br />panel, for activation/deactivation. <br />The high idle shall be operational only when the parking brake is on and the truck <br />transmission is in neutral. A green indicator light shall be provided, adjacent to the switch. <br />The light shall illuminate when the above conditions are met. The light shall be labeled "OK <br />to Engage High Idle." <br />ACCELERATOR CONTROL <br />A floor mount accelerator pedal shall be installed on the floor in front of the driver. The <br />pedal shall be positioned for comfort with ample space for fire boots and adequate clearance <br />from the brake pedal control and other obstructions. <br />ENGINE BRAKE <br />An engine brake is to be installed with the controls located on the instrument panel within <br />easy reach of the driver. <br />The driver shall be able to turn the engine brake system on/off and have a high, medium and <br />low setting. <br />The high setting of the brake application shall activate and work simultaneously with the <br />variable geometry turbo (VGT) provided on the engine. <br />The engine brake shall be installed in such a manner that when the engine brake is slowing <br />the vehicle the brake lights are activated. <br />The ABS system shall automatically disengage the auxiliary braking device, when required. <br />CLUTCH FAN <br />A Horton fan clutch shall be provided The fan clutch shall be automatic when the pump <br />transmission is in "Road" position, and fully engaged in "Pump" position. <br />ENGINE AIR INTAKE <br />An air intake with an ember separator. <br />EXHAUST SYSTEM <br />The exhaust system shall be stainless steel from the turbo to the inlet of the selective catal� <br />reduction (SCR) device and shall be 4.00" in diameter. The exhaust system shall include a <br />diesel particulate filter (DPF) and an SCR device to meet current EPA standards. An <br />insulation wrap shall be provided on all exhaust pipe between the turbo and SCR to minim <br />the transfer of heat to the cab. The exhaust shall terminate horizontally ahead of the <br />passenger side rear wheels. A tailpipe diffuser shall be provided to reduce the temperature <br />the exhaust as it exits. Heat deflector shields shall be provided to isolate chassis and body <br />components from the heat of the tailpipe diffuser. <br />EXHAUST MODIFICATION <br />The exhaust pipe shall be brought out from under the body at a 90-degree angle from the <br />truck. The tail Ripe shall extend a minimum of 2.00" past the body, adaptable for the <br />18 <br />ES O <br />
