A steel encased rubber bushing will be used in the spring eye. The steel encased rubber bushing will <br />be maintenance free and require no lubrication. <br />SHOCK ABSORBERS <br />To provide a smoother ride, the front axle will be furnished with heavy-duty telescoping shock <br />absorbers. <br />FRONT OIL SEALS <br />Oil seals with viewing window will be provided on the front axle. <br />FRONT TIRES <br />The front tires will be Michelin 315/80R22.5 radials, 20 ply all position XZU® S2 tread, rated for 20,000 <br />lb maximum axle load and 65 mph maximum speed. <br />The tires will be mounted on Alcoa 22.50" x 9.00" polished aluminum disc wheels with a ten (10) stud, <br />11.25" bolt circle. <br />REAR AXLE <br />The rear axle will be a Meritor TM, Model RS-25-160, with a capacity of 27,000 lb. <br />TOP SPEED OF VEHICLE <br />A rear axle ratio will be furnished to allow the vehicle to reach a top speed of 65 MPH. <br />REAR SUSPENSION <br />The rear suspension will be Standens, semi -elliptical, 3.00" wide x 53.00" long, 12-leaf pack with a <br />ground rating of 27,000 lb. The spring hangers will be castings. <br />The two (2) top leaves will wrap the forward spring hanger pin, and the rear of the spring will be a <br />slipper style end that will ride in a rear slipper hanger. To reduce bending stress due to acceleration <br />and braking, the front eye will be a berlin eye that will place the front spring pin in the horizontal plane <br />within the main leaf. <br />A steel encased rubber bushing will be used in the spring eye.
