South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Special Meeting - January 23, 1998 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />g. continued.... <br />prior Agreement with Memorial that was <br />signed and recorded without completion <br />date and without exhibits. <br />Ms. Schwartz stated that she wasn't on <br />the Commission when the original <br />Agreement was approved and she asked <br />Anne Bruneel if there were any particular <br />issues that required special resolution <br />between the Commission and Memorial <br />Hospital in order for Memorial Health <br />Plex to present the contracts to the <br />Commission today. <br />Anne Brunel responded that the primary <br />blanks in the Amended and Restated <br />Agreement for the Lease and <br />Development of Real Property were <br />relative to the time of construction. At <br />that time, the bonds had not yet been sold <br />as the Agreement was entered into in <br />December 1996 and the bonds weren't <br />sold until July 1997. <br />The size of the Memorial Health Plex <br />building was originally anticipated to be <br />approximately 75,000 sf, now it has been <br />determined that the Memorial Health Plex <br />building will be approximately 83,000 sf. <br />Mr. Bancroft explained that an additional <br />floor has been added to the project that <br />will be used for a computer education <br />program for children. The program is <br />patterned after a facility in the north <br />Chicago suburbs.
