South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - December 5, 1997 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />d. continued.... <br />appraise this parcel for a fee of $400.00. <br />The second proposal received is from <br />Doug Carpenter to appraise this parcel for <br />a fee of $250.00. Mrs. Kolata noted that <br />two appraisals are needed and the staff <br />recommends hiring the Appraisal Group <br />and Doug Carpenter to appraise the parcel <br />located in the block bounded by Main and <br />Lafayette and Sample and Tutt Streets. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSALS FROM <br />by Ms. Schwartz and unanimously carried, THE APPRAISAL GROUP AND DOUG CARPENTER <br />the Commission accepted the proposals FOR DISPOSITION APPRAISAL SERVICES IN THE <br />SAMPLE -EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />from the Appraisal Group and Doug <br />Carpenter for disposition appraisal <br />services in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />e. Commission approval requested for <br />proposals for acquisition appraisal <br />services in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Mrs. Kolata noted that there are several <br />properties that need new appraisals or <br />updated appraisals. The first proposal <br />received is from R.E. McCloskey and <br />Associates to appraise the Standard <br />Surplus Property for a fee of $5,000. The <br />second proposal received is from Rick <br />Pitts to appraise the Standard Surplus <br />building for a fee of $4,800. Rick Pitts <br />also submitted a proposal to appraise a <br />piece of property that has a Hamilton <br />Towing storage lot on it for a fee of <br />$2,800; and, a railroad right -of -way <br />F:\HOMENCPHEPPS\WDATA\COMMSM120597.MfN -9- <br />
